• Age Requirements: Because this involves driving, explicit restrictions are necessary. For example: "You must be at least 16 years of age (or the legal driving age in your jurisdiction) to use this Service. If you are under the legal driving age, you are strictly prohibited from using the app."

This is the most important section for a navigation app to protect the company from accidents or traffic violations.

• Driver Responsibility: State unequivocally that the driver's primary responsibility is the safe operation of the vehicle.
• Hands-Free Compliance: Users must comply with all local traffic laws regarding mobile device use while driving (e.g., using a dashboard mount or hands-free voice controls).
• No Interaction While Moving: Explicitly forbid typing, reporting hazards, or looking closely at the screen while the vehicle is in motion.
• The "Road Rules Overrule" Clause: Explicitly states that real-world road conditions, signs, traffic signals, and police directions always take precedence over any route or instruction provided by the app.

Navigation apps require constant tracking to work.

• Continuous Tracking: Explain that the app requires real-time GPS and location data to provide routing and traffic updates, even when running in the background (depending on user permissions).
• Data Charges: Remind users that constant data transmission is their financial responsibility through their cellular provider.

Since users will drop pins for traffic, accidents, police, or road hazards, you need to govern that behavior.

• Accuracy of Reports: Users promise to input only true, accurate, and real-time data. Deliberate false reporting (e.g., fake reporting) will result in account bans.
• Prohibited Content: A strict ban on uploading offensive text, spam, or pinning points of interest meant to harass individuals.
• License Grant: By submitting a report, the user grants the app a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, display, and share that data with the rest of the community.

Map data is rarely 100% perfect. You must limit your liability regarding errors.

• No Guarantee of Accuracy: State clearly that the service, maps, routing, and traffic updates are provided on an "As-Is" and "As-Available" basis.
• Dynamic Environments: Acknowledge that construction, weather, traffic patterns, and closures happen faster than software can update, and you do not warrant that the paths provided are completely safe, legal, or optimal.

• No Liability for Damages: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Glace Web will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
• Specific Exclusions: Explicitly state you are not liable for:
  • Traffic accidents, injuries, or fatalities.
  • Traffic tickets, fines, or criminal penalties received while using the app.
  • Property damage or delays resulting from following a route provided by the app.

• Our Properties: The source code, map designs, routing algorithms, logos, and UI are the exclusive property of Glace Web.
• User License: Grant the user a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial navigation purposes only. Scraping your map data or reverse-engineering the app must be strictly forbidden.

• Right to Ban: Reserve the right to suspend or terminate any user's account at your sole discretion, without notice, for violating safety policies, submitting fraudulent reports, or engaging in abusive behavior within the community features.
